Savayra Foundation UK is a UK registered women’s education social development and empowerment charity working in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. The charity aims to empower widows, divorcees, orphan girls and other financially destitute women through skills, education and other poverty relief programmes.
Established in 2002, Savayra Foundation UK has been supporting lasting economic and social development in deprived areas of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. Since 2002 the Savayra Foundation UK has journeyed from a small aid organisation to a focus on trade and economic self sufficiency for the communities in which it is engaged.
Savayra Foundation aims to skill train and empower marginalised and destitute women through sustainable income programs. The shopper Artisan Bag project aims to do that. Amazing things happen when women help women.
In collaboration With Alif studios THE SHOPPER BY SAVAYRA is a project inspired by women, funded by women, designed by women and made by women. The shopper is made using the ancient art of wooden block printing a method of textile making traditionally practised by men.

Read moreIn 2006 the first Savayra Charity Shop was established in chowk pandori, district Rawalpindi. This shop sold items made by the women in the skills centre and other feminine products not available in the local rural area.
The shop has been relocated to Savayra’s main Skill Center near Bewal. All profits are ploughed back into the skills centers with the women receiving a profit share on all items they produce.
